New Haircuts & Klang Cendol

Getting a haircut can be a very harrowing experience indeed. Your mane is actually one of the most important thing on your body. You can go bald and look like some macho hunk, but that's not the case with everyone. As for the girls, going BALD is almost insane...

I don't have a regular place where I go for a haircut...The same goes for Shyuan. We have not actually found a place where we got ourselves a haircut that we really liked. Therefore, we have been wandering from place to place and trying out joints that were recommended to us for quite some time now.

Aah...but this time, we might actually find a place that we will find a liking to. There is a joint in Klang near the now closed-down Ocean departmental store. The place is run solo by ONE GUY. Only one person? Can he manage...based on my observations, I really can....If I am not mistaken, he cut Shyuan's hair in 15 minutes and mine...I think slightly less than 10 minutes!!!

For only RM35, you cut a swell haircut and you don't have to wait really long (I like Shyuan's fringe so much...she looks so cute).

(Both of us, looking so chic. Must be the hair-dryer treatment)

What after that? Just getting a haircut on a Sunday...Nope, our day would not end without a visit to quench our thirst...You gotta hand it to the weather these days. First, it was raining like for like a week straight...but now it's mega HOT!!!

So, it's off to Klang Cendol:

To get this:

You actually had to queue to drink that. It has to taste very good to have people actually wait in line for so long to taste that. Picture us slurping that down...

Alas, we both agreed that it didn't taste that great after all. The one in Subang Jaya SS15 in front of the Shell petrol station is much better...

I will reveal that the next time....

If you are in Klang, and decide to give it a try yourself...you know where to find it...

Bathroom encounters

Do you have weird encounters with the bathroom? I am very sure that everyone has certain unusual encounters with the bathroom. May it be hilarious or scary, it certainly can be categorized in the "Random" category. "Random" you might ask? Why "Random"? Of course these encounters are "Random" in nature.

You'd not encounter something like this everytime you enter the bathroom:

1. A visit by a flying cockroach (Nope, didn't happen to me, but I do get the ocassional visits from the house lizards)

2. The bathroom door knob "spoils" and you are stuck inside (It happened in one movie I saw sometime ago)

3. Sudden blackout!!! (Hmm, it did happen to me...but it wasn't that scary, just that the hot water disappear)

4. Dropping your toothbrush into the toilet bowl (I don't brush my teeth near the toilet bowl)

5. Running out of toilet roll...you'd know what I mean (If you are those that use the "Water", then you'd not get this)

Ha Ha Ha. What other random encounters? I can't think of anything else that might happen to someone while in the bathroom. Honestly, I HAVE NOT encountered any of those, if any of you out there that might have, do give me a holler...

If you have "Random" bathroom encounters, what about "Routine" bathroom encounters....

Routine you might ask? Yes, routine encounters...

I have something that happens to me on quite a regular basis. You see, I usually take my showers in the downstairs bathroom in my house....and on the weekends, when my grandmother stays over, she would on many ocassions tell me to GET OUT of the bathroom as she needs to use it in a REAL HURRY. What the? If she had to use it, she should have told me before I went in to the shower and not when I am halway taking a dump or washing my hair. Aiyaa......

But I guess, since she's like almost 90, I have to cut her some slack...Just that it's rather hard having to run upstairs to the other bathroom with shampoo in your hair (You don't want to drop any on the stairs).

Do you have any encounters similar to mine? Care to enlighten me...

Road Trip

Boy, I do love those road trips...

The open road, the nice scenery along the highway, the feel of speed in your hands...

Aha, but there's a catch. If you do it on a weekday, you get those. I got that on a Wednesday (15th May 2007), mind you..

The ride was a Volvo S80 (OMG, it was such a beauty to handle). Mine you reckon? Nah, It belonged to Lilian. Now, this is Lilian...

Lilian needed to go to IPOH for some of her personal matters and since it was the school holiday week (10th March 2007 to 18th March 2007) Shyuan had no work and I don't work on Wednesdays...so both of us decided to accompany her (tag along I suppose).

Ipoh is not that far from KL, we started our journey at 7.00am and we got there around 9.00am, just 2 hours. We exited the North South highway at Simpang Pulai and the 1st thing we did in Ipoh was to head to Ming Court near Hotel Excelsior for.................Dim Sum!!!

Eating Dim Sum in Ipoh is an experience that is somewhat enriching...

ENRICHING you might ask? Why? Because you will just take that nice little dumpling and put it into your mouth continously thus enriching your tummy...Ha Ha Ha!!!

Those stuff were really delicious and we were so grateful to have had such a scrumptous breakfast much to the chagrin of the guy that was sharing our table. But we were quite guilty for indulging as we are all gym members and had to watch what we eat....But we threw that RULE out the window as soon as we stepped into the car.

After attending to her matters, it took around 1.5 to 2 hours, Lilian then took us to eat "Tow Foo Fah". Why would anyone want to eat "Tow Foo Fah" in Ipoh when you can get that anywhere back here in the Klang Valley...I quickly threw that notion out the window when I placed that white piece of floating soya bean thingy into my mouth....It was the smoothest "Tow Foo Fah" that I've ever tasted. It must have something to do with the water here in Ipoh. !!!Seriously!!!
It it only costs RM0.70 per bowl....RM0.70? RM0.70? RM0.70? If I remember correctly, it costs like RM1.20 per bowl here back here in the Klang Valley.

We continued to stroll around in Ipoh and to kill some time before we went back to attend to Lilian's matter, we went to Ipoh Parade (the place where that girl got abducted in her car and taken for a joyride a while back; that news was like spreading via sms like hot cakes back then - slightly inaccurate in timing though, you might want to ask me to tell you the story some other time). Just like your typical "Parade" shopping complex, it was more of a practical shopping complex than those really plush ones like One U or Mid Valley Megamall.

We just strolled around to hoping to find some bargains. I really wondered what I could find there, but Shyuan was looking for some semi-precious stones trinkets and Lilian just wanted to find a hairclip. Me? I wasn't intending to buy anything? What can I possibly find in Ipoh?

Actually, Shyuan and I did buy ourselves a semi-precious stone trinket to adorn our hand and Lilian got her hairclip....all rather cheaply. But you have to really look for the bargains otherwise you might just get that situation where you are viewed as not local and someone will try to rip you off (Lilian was offered a plastic handphone protector for RM15!!!).

Later, it would be "Makan" time again after completing Lilian's personal matters. And we just headed into old Ipoh town for some "Kuey Teow Soup". The way "Kuey Teow Soup" is served in Ipoh is so different from here in Klang Valley. You had to choose your add-ons to go along with your soup. I like picked a total of 15 different types of pork balls. Lilian was giving me the funny look (you sure that brown thing is pork ar?). Yes, it was pork. One of those pork ball varieties that you can find at the Lok-Lok van.

You think we might we back after that meal excursion....No! We won't leaving Ipoh without the famous Hup Kee "Hiong Piah" Charboiled Aroma Biscuits. But not immediately we headed to Gunung Rapat, where the HQ is located. We went back for "Tow Foo Fah" as Shyuan needed to get another fix. Ha Ha Ha!!! I think next to Vitagen, "Tow Foo Fah" would be another one of her weakness.

10 packs of Hiong Piah was what we got. I got 5 and Lilian got the balance. RM5.50 per pack of 10 biscuits. You could feel the heat in the packs...really freshly baked from the oven. Tell you a secret, I can actually finish the whole pack in one sitting.

After that, it was the drive back to Subang Jaya and it was like already 5.00pm. I was like so exhausted, since I drove and walked...and walked...and ate. If you ever get a chance to go to Ipoh, you really shouldn't missed those food stopovers..

(Shyuan, always looking lovely ~ BTW, Take a look at Lilian in the backseat)

Oops, I forgot something. We even managed to grab some pomelos at Tambun....Man, this was indeed a trip for food.

Me and My Dar

Being alive is all about having feelings.... Feelings are the only thing any living entity on this earth possess that ultimately makes him/her know that they are ALIVE.

I am feeling so alive now...and it's all because I have felt the feeling of joy, pain, but most importantly, I am in love...I have been in love for almost 4 years, and I will be in love for the rest of my existence...

When you truly love someone, your will journey through life will always be with that particular someone...and my someone is Shyuan.

She is truly the one that
makes my heart beat, my palms sweat and my head swirl.

How can you not love someone as sweet as her...Most of the times, she is very hyperactive and easily excited about things. That is her...If you know her, she is like that. So, don't be alarmed. That's one thing about her that I find it so unique, she is true.

She likes to take photos and mind you, she would be very disappointed if she did not get a chance to take a photo at that particular moment if it warrants one...

Ha ha, even I can't keep up with her on that.

I love her very much.

I love her very very much..

I love her very very very much...

If you have never loved someone so deeply, madly and truly, then you would not have felt true love.

She is indeed my darling, my angel, my princess, my luv...

Out of the blue, out of the night
You came along and you changed my life
You got me feeling things, I swear I never felt before
You looked at me, that's all it took
You read my heart like an open book
Well, it was true love- right from the start

True love- straight from my heart
True love- ain't no doubt about it, baby
True love- now I can't live without it

Before I met you baby, I was alone
Thought I was happy livin' on my own
But now I realize this world was made for two, like me and you
With you by my side, everything's fine
There ain't no mountain, sugar, we can't climb
We got a true love- that's all we need

True love- it's got a lifetime guarantee
True love- so hard to find
True love- put your heart on the line now
True love- makes every day a little brighter
True love- makes every burden just a little lighter
True love- it'll make you be a better man

If you had true love, you'd understand
Out of the blue, out of the night
You came along and you changed my life
You got me feeling things, I swear I never felt before
You lift me up, you make me strong
You give me lovin' lastin' all night long
When it's a true love- right from the start

True love- straight from my heart
True love- need you here beside me baby
True love- need your love to guide me
True love- I can't deny this feelin' no no matter how hard I try

I just know what I feel, and it's a true love
She's my baby, she's my girl
She changed my life, oh, she changed my world
She's my buttercup, oh, fill me up
Talkin' about love, talkin' about love, it's gotta be a true lov
